These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern use of the KidNation app, website, and related services (collectively, “KidNation”) by account holders, parents, and guardians. KidNation is provided by KidNation, Inc.

By creating an account, purchasing a subscription, or using KidNation, you agree to these Terms. A parent or guardian using KidNation for a child also agrees on the child’s behalf. If you do not agree, do not use KidNation.

1. Accounts and Child Use

An account holder is responsible for the information entered into child profiles, a child’s use of KidNation, and keeping account credentials secure. Parents and guardians should supervise a child’s use of KidNation.

KidNation does not provide a parent control panel. For account, profile, privacy, or deletion assistance, use the support instructions at Support.

Do not create a child profile with a child’s full legal name or include sensitive personal information in a profile name, Storyteller choices, or support request.

2. KidNation Content and License

Subject to these Terms and any applicable subscription, KidNation gives the account holder a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the service for household use. KidNation and its licensors retain all rights in the service, content, software, characters, music, videos, and branding.

You may not copy, resell, reverse engineer, bypass access controls, scrape, or use KidNation content commercially without written permission.

3. Storyteller

Storyteller creates content from guided choices selected in the app. It is not an open chat service and is not professional educational, medical, legal, psychological, or safety advice.

AI-generated content can be inaccurate, incomplete, or unexpected. A parent or guardian should supervise a child’s use and decide whether generated content is appropriate for that child. Do not use Storyteller to submit personal, sensitive, financial, health, school, or location information.

KidNation may limit, modify, remove, or decline to generate content when necessary for safety, technical, legal, or operational reasons.

4. Subscriptions and Purchases

Subscription pricing, billing frequency, free-trial terms, included features, and cancellation instructions will be shown before purchase in the applicable app store or purchase flow. Purchases are processed by Apple or Google and may be supported by KidNation’s subscription service provider.

Unless stated otherwise at purchase, subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled through the relevant app-store account. Deleting KidNation does not cancel an app-store subscription. Account holders may restore eligible purchases using the app’s restore-purchase feature, if available.

5. Acceptable Use

You may not use KidNation to violate law or another person’s rights; attempt to gain unauthorized access to KidNation or another account; interfere with the service or its security; upload or submit harmful, infringing, deceptive, or unlawful material; or use the service to collect information about other children or users.

6. Account Suspension or Termination

We may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect families, comply with law, address security risks, enforce these Terms, or prevent misuse. To request account deletion, use the instructions at Delete Account or contact [email protected]. We may need to verify the request.

7. Disclaimers

KidNation is provided “as is” and “as available” to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that KidNation will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or that every generated result will be suitable for every child. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be limited under applicable law.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, KidNation, Inc. and its affiliates, licensors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of KidNation. Any liability that cannot legally be excluded is limited to the amount paid for KidNation during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

9. Changes to KidNation or These Terms

We may update KidNation and these Terms. If a change is material, we will provide notice as required by law. Continuing to use KidNation after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms, except where additional consent is required.

10. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, excluding conflict-of-law rules, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
